Integrative Psychiatrist

I take an integrative approach and look at the whole person, starting with a comprehensive and thorough evaluation. Integrative medicine is informed by evidence and makes use of complementary/alternative approaches when appropriate. Treatment plans may include mind-body skills (such as mindfulness), dietary changes, vitamins, therapy, herbs, and supplements. As part of this perspective, I prescribe medication when indicated, carefully discuss the risks and benefits of medication, and strive to use the lowest effective dose.
